Honestly - Good for the money at the discounted rate - nice rooms - nice staff - close to tube Aldgate East Tube.
I booked 2 rooms and they allowed a free late checkout as I was running in the British 10K - usually a charge is made - nice staff

Had a fantastic time in London. City Hotel was close to underground/Tower Bridge. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were big with tea/coffee facilities and I really appreciated having Irish/English newspapers daily.

Good budget Hotel. Large rooms, with a fridge! Good breakfast, all you can eat. Good location, near Brick Lane, and algate east. Friendly staff. For £40 a night, can't complain.

Staying in this hotel is really value for money IF you can get a weekend rate. The hotel is not distinctive from the outside, but the rooms are nice and clean. Besides they are indeed BIG. During my stay the weather was pretty hot, and so were the rooms. The windows can be opned though, and since the street is quiet with traffic that need not prevent you from sleeping. Subway litterally around the corner, and the busride to the centre is nice as well. Walking distance to Tower Bridge.
